Thailand, Chinese Taipei, and Vietnam will each send three teams, while Brazil, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Mainland China, and SMP will each send one squad — one from each region’s professional league.
The AWC 2021 will be divided into four stages:
- The group stage will be place from June 19 through June 27.

AOV esports are being honored.
The theme of the AWC in 2021 will be “Fight Together, Rise Together,” with the goal of uniting the AOV community in support of one another through these trying times. The theme also pays tribute to the devoted community of clubs, players, and fans that have supported AOV throughout the years. Arena of Valor recently celebrated its fourth anniversary of esports, with the inaugural Arena of Valor International Championship (AIC) taking place in 2017.
AOV esports tournaments are still among the most popular in mobile esports across the world. The AWC’s most recent edition in 2019 attracted over 74.5 million total views and over 855,000 peak concurrent viewers, respectively, a 126 percent and 36 percent increase over the 2018 edition hosted in the United States.
